A-Plus Therapy provides pediatric occupational therapy services. Occupational Therapy helps children develop the cognitive, physical, and motor skills needed to perform daily activities. It focuses on fostering independence in a child's "occupations", which may include playing, learning, and managing self-care routines like dressing and eating. Therapists often engage in play-based activities to help children build and strengthen areas such as:

Fine Motor Skills: Developing a pincer grasp for self feeding and other skills, grasping utensils for eating, grasping a pencil, using scissors, handwriting, fasteners (buttons, snaps, shoe-tying), etc.

Gross Motor Skills: Balancing and general body coordination

Visual Motor Integration: Developing hand-eye coordination for things like catching a ball or copying shapes from a whiteboard

Self Care Tasks: Brushing teeth, feeding, dressing, household duties, etc.

Executive Function: Improving attention, memory, and task organization

Sensory Processing: Helping children who get overwhelmed by loud sounds, bright lights, or certain textures (eating, clothing, etc,), as well as those who struggle to regulate their emotions or behaviors
