Founder
Kim Holley, OTR/L
I founded the company in July 1999.  The driving force was my passion for the pediatric population and providing services in my local community.  Pediatrics has always been my first love.  This was solidified in my first school system clinical in OT school as I pursued my degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  My first job did not take me in this direction initially, but as one door closed, another door opened.  I truly feel God made a path for my passion to serve children.  As the door to skilled nursing homes closed, the company embarked on a new path to serve pediatrics.  I was asked to jumpstart this new pediatric path and was thrilled to accept the challenge.  This paved the way to eventually starting A-Plus Therapy to continue to prioritize pediatrics and serve the community needs. Â

I was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama and I am proud to call this my home.  It was always my goal to return to Dothan and be close to family and friends.  I have two adult children who are presently working to fulfill their college dreams and embark on their new careers.  Family is important to all of us, and we enjoy the time we get to spend together.  Friendships are also a priority, and I am blessed to spend time with them and share in the milestones of their lives.   We are an animal loving family and share 4 dogs which are abundantly loved and spoiled!  During my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time by water (pool, lake, beach), and rooting for Alabama football!!  I really enjoy making memories with my family  which could include a little dilly dallying at a store, eating out or vacations.  I love my profession, clients and my co-workers!Â
Cherise Burke, OTA/L
I have been proudly serving with A-Plus Therapy since 2014, working in school settings for the past 12 years. My passion has always been helping children learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Originally, I aspired to become a classroom teacher, but due to an oversaturated job market, I found my calling through therapy services in the schools. Working with A-Plus Therapy allows me to combine my love of education with my commitment to helping children succeed. It is incredibly rewarding to be part of each child’s journey as they build confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals. I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of students and their families every day.
Emily Santa Cruz, OTA/L
Hi! I’m Emily from Biloxi, Mississippi, and I graduated from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. My interest in occupational therapy began while taking my nephew to his therapy appointments, where I saw firsthand the difference it could make in a child’s life. I’ve always loved working with kids and enjoy helping them build confidence, develop new skills, and have fun while reaching their goals. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, fishing, and being outdoors.
